EO Portal launch - another milestone in data delivery The Earth Observation Portal (EO Portal) user management component has been launched; it enables users to centrally manage subscriptions to data, products and services provided by EUMETSAT. EO Portal enables one to register for all near real-time services, such as EUMETCast, FTP over the Internet and via Direct Dissemination - primarily from the Meteosat and Metop satellites.

In parallel to the above, a prototype for the enhancement of the web image visualisation system to provide meteorological data using Web Map Services (WMS) and Web Coverage Services (WCS) is presently being undertaken.
